Job summary

Rocket, a Detroit-based company, is seeking a Team Leader of Audio Visual Events to direct all levels of events and lead the AV Events team. You will provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction, while partnering with leadership and clients to define event requirements and best practices.

You will manage budgets, vendor proposals, and the full lifecycle of AV production from concept to final execution, ensuring high-quality branding and messaging across events.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in a live production environment.
• Thorough knowledge of all audio visual (AV) event production subject matter.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency in Keynote.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and strategic direction to the Audio Visual Events team.
• Provide formal and informal feedback for development in regular performance conversations.
• Work with leadership, vendors, stakeholders and clients to identify event requirements and provide recommendations.
• Monitor and track assigned event project progress and proactively handle issues.
• Review and approve vendor proposals and invoices within budget.
• Administer full lifecycle AV production from concept through revisions and final execution.
• Use technical expertise to assist in creating effective messages or branding initiatives.
• Coordinate with technicians on equipment maintenance for AV items.
• Work with producers and directors on design, installation and positioning of sets and props.

• Work with producers and directors on the design, installation and positioning of sets and props

Minimum Qualifications

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
• Proficiencyin Keynote

Preferred Qualifications

• 6years of experiencein aliveproduction environment
• 1 year of experience in leadership
• Bachelor'sdegreeinaudio production, music production, broadcast & digital journalism, broadcast communicationsor arelatedfield
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
