Job summary

Beacon Engineered Solutions – MN, LLC is seeking a Team Leader to guide a production team and ensure timely, quality output. The role emphasizes active leadership, safety compliance, and adherence to our mission to deliver exceptional services and engineered solutions.

You will support training, performance feedback, safety programs, and daily shift execution while maintaining accurate production records and promoting 5-S practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Beacon Employee.
• Training in general safety.
• Experience as Certified Molding Operator.

Responsibilities

• Lead your team to meet production schedules.
• Provide input on team member performance.
• Ensure adherence to Beacon policies and safety guidelines.
• Attend shift meetings and huddles.
• Promote a safe work environment for all employees.
• Assist Operators, CMO’s and Supervisors with troubleshooting.
• Complete 5-S program and data entry of production.
• Reconcile scrap and downtime in the shift log.
• Review quality rejects with Supervisor.

Position Summary;

Meet the responsibilities to personnel on your team. This includes leading your team in a manner consistent with the Vision and Values of Beacon. The Team Leader’s primary responsibilities are to perform all assigned tasks in a manner which supports our Company Mission “To deliver exceptional services, engineered solutions and quality products on time.”

Essential Functions

• Support meeting all operator training needs.
• Provide input to Supervisor on team member performance.
• Support consistent and complete administration of Beacon’s policies.
• Attend all schedule shift meetings and huddles
• Ensure and maintain a safe work environment for all Beacon employees.
• Assists Operators, CMO’s and/ or Supervisor trouble shooting process problems.
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Report safety concerns to Supervisor.
• Help relieve other operators during break periods.
• Capable of filling in as a Supervisor on an as needed basis.
• Advise next Team Leader of any information about press or molded parts.
• Assist the other Team Leaders and your Supervisor in meeting the production schedule each day.
• Actively promote the 5-S program.
• Enter all production into system and reconcile at end of shift entering scrap and downtime reasons during the shift.
• Review quality rejects with Supervisor.
• Ensure operators complete attribute charts and assist operators with questions regarding recording data.
• 100% completion of SPC, Attribute Charts and Audits.

Required Skills:

1. Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs.
2. Good mechanical ability and attention to detail
3. Ability to learn quickly
4. Certified Molding Operator completed

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience on the use of measuring tools helpful
2. Good Math skills
3. Prior manufacturing experience
4. Self-motivated team player
5. Blueprint reading helpful

Required Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED

Training in general safety

Experience as Certified Molding Operator

Pay with Overnight Shift Differential:

$22.50/hr to $23.75/hr
