Job summary

Beacon Engineered Solutions – MN, LLC is seeking a Team Leader to guide a molding operations team on the overnight shift. You will oversee daily production to meet schedules while promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement in line with Beacon's Vision and Values.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, safety training, and experience as a Certified Molding Operator. You must be able to lift 45 lbs, possess practical mechanical skills, and lead by example in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Lead team to meet production schedule and ensure safety.
• Provide input to Supervisor on team performance.
• Maintain consistent administration of Beacon policies.
• Attend shift meetings and huddles.
• Ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
• Assist operators and supervisors with troubleshooting.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report concerns.
• Relieve other operators during breaks and cover as needed.
• Capable of filling in as Supervisor on occasion.
• Advise next Team Leader of information about press or molded parts.
• Promote the 5-S program and enter production data.
• Review quality rejects with Supervisor and address issues.
• Ensure operators complete attribute charts and answer questions about recording data.
• Achieve 100% completion of SPC, Attribute Charts and Audits.

Position Summary;Meet the responsibilities to personnel on your team. This includes leading your team in a manner consistent with the Vision and Values of Beacon. The Team Leader’s primary responsibilities are to perform all assigned tasks in a manner which supports our Company Mission “To deliver exceptional services, engineered solutions and quality products on time.”

Essential Functions

• Support meeting all operator training needs.
• Provide input to Supervisor on team member performance.
• Support consistent and complete administration of Beacon’s policies.
• Attend all schedule shift meetings and huddles
• Ensure and maintain a safe work environment for all Beacon employees.
• Assists Operators, CMO’s and/ or Supervisor trouble shooting process problems.
• Follow all safety guidelines
• Report safety concerns to Supervisor.
• Help relieve other operators during break periods.
• Capable of filling in as a Supervisor on an as needed basis.
• Advise next Team Leader of any information about press or molded parts.
• Assist the other Team Leaders and your Supervisor in meeting the production schedule each day.
• Actively promote the 5-S program.
• Enter all production into system and reconcile at end of shift entering scrap and downtime reasons during the shift.
• Review quality rejects with Supervisor.
• Ensure operators complete attribute charts and assist operators with questions regarding recording data.
• 100% completion of SPC, Attribute Charts and Audits.

Required Skills:

1. Must be able to lift at least 45 lbs.
2. Good mechanical ability and attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience on the use of measuring tools helpful
2. Good Math skills
3. Prior manufacturing experience
4. Self-motivated team player
5. Blueprint reading helpful

Pay with Overnight Shift Differential: $21.75/hr to $23.00/hr
