Job summary

Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. is seeking a Lead Team Member for our warehouse operations. The role involves training teammates, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring accurate and safe shipments to customers.

You will handle forklift operations, packaging, and data entry while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Responsibilities include leading the team in daily planning, performing unpacking/repacking, and ensuring quality checks before shipping.

Qualifications

• Experience leading warehouse teams and coordinating daily operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Familiarity with inventory control and shipping/receiving processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the team’s daily operations.
• Unpack, repack, and place items for shipment.
• Verify quantities and inspect goods for accuracy before shipment.
• Operate forklift and/or crane for loading/unloading.
• Use scan guns and other devices for production/packing tasks.
• Maintain 5S standards and clean work area.
• Enter production data into basic spreadsheet systems.
• Follow approved procedures and safety precautions.

Summary

Lead Team Member. Helps train other TMs and may perform same work as other TMs: a variety of warehouse duties including forklift operation, inventory control, receiving and shipping to ensure accurate and safe shipment of goods to and from the customer.

What You'll Do

• Coordinates and lead the team's daily operations.
• Unpacks, repacks, places items, etc.
• Uses tools and visual aids to confirm quantities of freight being received and shipped.
• Operates a forklift and/or crane for loading and unloading.
• Operates other machines for production or processing, such as scan gun.
• Inspects product before shipping.
• Cleans work area according to 5S standards.
• Enters production data into basic spreadsheet systems.
• Follows approved procedures and precautions.
• Assists in providing safe environment for all employees.
• Responsible for maintaining paperwork of incoming and outgoing products.
• Participates in team meetings and training.
• Other duties may be assigned.
