Job summary

CN Guidance & Counseling Services, Inc. is seeking a supervisory clinician to lead the Youth ACT Team, delivering services to individuals with severe emotional disturbance and their families. The role emphasizes supervision, program coordination, and adherence to funding and regulatory standards.

The position requires licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LMHC) and at least three years in mental health or chemical dependency fields, with availability for after-hours coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinical licensure in NY required (LCSW/LMFT/LMHC).
• Three years of mental health and/or chemical dependency experience.
• Experience supervising and coordinating clinical teams.
• Ability to implement quality improvement in clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to meet agency standards and regulatory requirements.
• Direct and coordinate staff activities; lead team meetings and provide case direction.
• Oversee assessment, service planning, QA, and incident reporting.
• Engage in crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Provide direct services in-office or community settings as needed.
• Be available 24/7 for after-hours coverage with the team.
• Contribute to community and agency-wide planning with administrative team.
• Participate in NYS Youth ACT trainings and model implementation.
• Support data-informed clinical supervision and decision making.
• Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities.

Educational Requirements

Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, or Licensed Mental Health Counselors.

Experience Required

Three years' experience in mental health and/or chemical dependency field.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Charged with supervisory and administrative responsibilities to ensure that staff meets the standards and requirements of the Agency and appropriate funding and regulatory bodies.
• Direct and supervise staff activities, lead team organizational and service planning meetings and provide direction to staff regarding individual cases. Conduct side-by-side contacts with staff and regularly conduct individual supervision meetings.
• Responsible for overseeing Assessment and Service Planning, Quality assurance and Improvement Processes, Utilization Review, Incident Reporting, coordination between Youth ACT and other systems.
• Engage in performing assessments, handling crisis intervention and discharge planning.
• Provide direct, face-to-face and/or collateral services to recipients either in the Youth ACT office or in the community in places and situations where problems arise.
• Must be available (along with other members of the Youth ACT Team) on an as needed basis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Manages the after-hour's calls for the team.
• Participates in planning for the needs of the community and the Agency with the rest of the administrative team.
• Actively engage in agency wide trainings and work groups as well as NYS specific training on and for the Youth ACT model.
• Support the use of data in clinical supervision to inform decision-making
• Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities as part of professional development goals
