Job summary

Precision Aviation Group | PAG in Atlanta, GA, USA, seeks a working lead with strong organizational skills to supervise a team in a On-Site PAG Office. You will coordinate tasks, provide technical support, and drive safety and process improvements.

Ideal candidates have ATL Level Four Technician experience and a high school diploma, with readiness for rotating or fixed shifts and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
  • Supervises, directs, and supports employees. Must be able to act as the working leader of a group of Employees, plan and lay out work, instruct and supervise the work of the group, return articles to service if required, as well as be a leader in the areas of continuous improvement, and safety. Set a professional example in all you do
  • Coordinates and prioritizes assigned areas and can work without close supervision
  • Has strong organizational skills and is able to respond to changing or multiple work demands
  • Provides technical support to his/her team and others in the operation
  • Coordinates with leadership on engineering or operational issues concerning assigned area
  • Plans, organizes, and supports work area
  • Promote continual process and operational improvement
  • Supports team concepts, drives safety, TAT and reduces cost of quality events
  • Support and enforce the company policies and procedures
  • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures
  • Must have valid and current driver’s license

  • (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in present position

Marginal Job Functions:

  • Knowledge of general office clerical procedures
  • Strong computer skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to regularly exercise sound judgment

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

  • Will participate in, support and enforce safety initiatives, safe work practices and compliance
  • Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards, unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries
  • May serve as a member of the safety committee
  • Will follow all safety rules, FAA regulations, PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS

Physical Demands: Requires standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 75 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines and equipment and troubleshoot problems with area specialized equipment. Ability to operate Hand tools, lathes, machine shop tools, balance machines.

Work Location: On-Site PAG Office

Protective Equipment Required: PPE as required for area tasks

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Safety Data Sheets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines; attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of personal and/or proprietary intellectual information; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy; ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language as well as comprehend and apply information contained in technical, operational and supplemental manuals or procedures; If applicable, be trained in or be thoroughly familiar with the inspection, methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment and tools used to perform the maintenance, preventative maintenance, alterations, or required tasks of articles; multi-tasking is a necessity; thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures; ability to type with accuracy and speed; ability to maintain a good working relationship with co-workers and to project a positive, concerned image to the public; ability to work without supervision; ability to adjust to rapidly changing circumstances and priorities. Embrace diverse people, thinking and styles. Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others and personal data.

Education/Training: Possesses a high school diploma, GED or high school equivalency

Experience: Must have achieved “ATL level four technician” or sufficient experience in the work to be performed.

Certificates/Licenses: Must be certificated as a mechanic or repairman per part 65.

Other: Other duties may be assigned to support other departments, personnel or projects.
