Job summary

Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Team Lead to drive manufacturing excellence at the plant floor level. The role emphasizes safety, coaching, and process improvements to meet production targets while ensuring quality and service.

The Team Lead will supervise staff, coach teammates, and coordinate with QA and logistics to maintain smooth operations. Strong communication, detail focus, and forklift proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Forklift license or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members to improve skills and performance.
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with Life Safety Elements.
  • Drive production targets while maintaining service levels and quality.
  • Monitor and improve product quality in collaboration with QA teams.
  • Oversee supervision, leadership, and coaching activities.
  • Manage physical inventory: storage, accessibility, accuracy, and reconciliation.

Position Summary and Essential Duties:

The role of Team Lead is crucial in ensuing manufacturing excellence at the plant floor level.Safety First – Demonstrate safe work practices in accordance with all compliance and regulatory requirements including Life Safety Elements and hold others accountable to do the same.There are four pillars that a successful Team Lead will do:

Coaching, Guiding and Developing Teammates:

As a Team Lead, you’ll be responsible for providing guidance and coaching to your team members. This involves helping them improve their skills, addressing any performance gaps, and fostering a positive work environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential at Lindsay. You’ll need to understand each team member’s strengths and areas for improvement to provide targeted support.

Driving Improved Results:
  • SAFETY: Ensure that safety protocols are followed rigorously. Promote a safety-first culture among team members.
  • QUALITY: Monitor product quality and address any deviations promptly. Collaborate with quality control teams to maintain high standards.
  • SERVICE: Meet production targets while maintaining service levels. Timely delivery and customer satisfaction are critical.
  • COST INITIATIVES: Optimize processes to reduce costs without compromising quality. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement them.
Supervision and Leadership:
  • SUPERVISION: Monitoring work progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, and addressing any issues promptly.
  • LEADERSHIP: Inspiring and motivating team members. Set an example by demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • COACHING AND TRAINING: Provide ongoing training to enhance skills. Address performance gaps through constructive feedback.
Physical Inventory Management:
  • STORAGE: Ensure that inventory items are stored appropriately (organized, labeled, and protected from damage).
  • ACCESSIBILITY: Make sure team members can access inventory items efficiently.
  • ACCURACY: Reconcile physical inventory with records. Address discrepancies promptly.Assist in accurate and timely inventory control management both physically and transactionally

Other duties as assigned by his/her manager to ensure the best possible Safety, Quality and Cost deliverables for Lindsay.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Proven experience to analyze information effectively and present results through reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines, organize, multitask, and prioritize.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Forklift license or willing to obtain.
