Job summary

Watlow Electric Manufacturing Company in Hannibal, Missouri is seeking a Supply Chain Team Lead- Materials to drive the master production schedule and coordinate the flow of raw materials to meet customer demand and forecasts.

The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert and mentor for the site Supply Chain, collaborating with Operations, Sales and Finance to improve procurement, scheduling, and execution in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize the master production schedule to meet customer demand.
• Coordinate the SIOP process to align supply and demand and profitability.
• Lead material flow and coordinate movement of raw materials and finished goods.
• Direct Procurement to meet inventory, supply continuity, and material turns goals.
• Review and adjust schedules based on resource and material availability.
• Provide risk mitigation and resolve issues while adhering to procedures.
• Facilitate lean rapid improvement events to drive gains in supply chain.
• Develop cross-functional relationships with Operations, Sales, Finance and other Watlow sites.
• Coach and develop the Supply Chain team.

Team Lead, Supply Chain- Materials

Hannibal, Missouri

Watlow is seeking a Supply Chain Team Lead- Materials, who will drive the master production schedule and coordinate the flow of raw materials to meet customer demand and sales forecasts. This individual is expected to be a subject matter expert, leader, and mentor of the site Supply Chain and its team members. They will work very closely with other functions including Operations, Sales, and Finance to align supply and demand, resolve risk, and continuously improve how the team procures, schedules, and executes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical rigor, hands-on materials management expertise, and the ability to coach others in a complex, fast-moving environment.

What you’ll do:

• Master scheduling & optimization: Develop and continuously optimize the master production schedule to meet all expected customer demand.
• Sales, Operations & Financial Planning execution: Coordinate the execution of the SIOP process to align supply and demand, and meet objectives for profitability, productivity, and customer lead times.
• Material flow leadership: Support production scheduling and help coordinate the physical movement of raw materials, finished goods, and information to optimize cost and service levels.
• Material & supplier management: Lead the Procurement team to meet specific goals around inventory levels, supply continuity, and material turns, and build strong supplier relationships to ensure delivery and quality expectations are met or exceeded.
• Schedule management: Review the master production schedule, help establish priorities, and revise schedules based on resource and material availability.
• Risk mitigation & problem solving: Provide risk mitigation, resolve complex issues, recommend process enhancements, and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and systems.
• Continuous improvement: Facilitate supply chain rapid improvement events, applying lean concepts, pull systems, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to drive measurable gains.
• Cross-functional partnership: Develop strong relationships and ensure clear communication and alignment with other functions and other Watlow facilities.
• Mentorship & team development: Lead the Supply Chain team and help coach and develop your team members.

What you’ll need to succeed?

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience (5-8 years)
• Demonstrated experience in materials management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), pull systems, flow, and lean implementation
• Project management experience, including the ability to determine scope, budget, and implementation timeframes of assigned projects
• Leadership training or experience in mentoring and coaching team members
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with high attention to detail and follow-up
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools

Preferred qualifications:

• Relevant certification such as APICS (CPIM, CSCP, CFPIM), ISM (CPM, CPSM, CSM), or equivalent
• Experience with ERP systems, including Oracle, SAP, or similar platforms, especially during system implementations or transformations
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based company operating across multiple sites or business units
• Demonstrated experience facilitating kaizen or rapid improvement events within a supply chain or production environment
• Experience supporting or participating in a Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process
