Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a proactive Team Lead for SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while guiding a team of Administrators. The role blends hands-on configuration, data governance, and delivery leadership to support enterprise customers.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of Salesforce experience, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering scalable Salesforce solutions with CPQ, Billing, and integrations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, including senior-level responsibility for Sales Cloud, CPQ, and Billing.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, managing, or mentoring Salesforce Administrators; experience supervising a small team is preferred.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, delegation, performance feedback, conflict resolution, and team development.
  • Ability to prioritize work across a team, manage competing demands, and communicate delivery status, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models, security, and automation tools.
  • Experience with integration tools and patterns for connecting Salesforce with other systems.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile/SCRUM environments with JIRA.
  • Familiarity with quote-to-cash, billing, or financial process automation.
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Power BI, and Certinia would be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Salesforce Administrators, including regular one-on-one meetings, goal setting, performance feedback, career development, and support for day-to-day execution.
  • Set team priorities, assign work, balance capacity, remove blockers, and ensure commitments are delivered with appropriate quality and timeliness.
  • Provide technical and functional guidance to the team, review proposed solutions and configurations, and promote consistent standards, documentation, and Salesforce best practices.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for team members and operational issues, coordinating resolution and communicating risks, dependencies, and status to SaaS Applications leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Administer and maintain Salesforce environments, including user setup, roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable work for the team, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions.
  • Support CPQ and Billing configurations, ensuring accurate quote-to-cash processes.
  • Lead or support integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems using middleware tools (e.g., MuleSoft).
  • Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and implement optimizations for usability and security.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support business decision-making and team visibility.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions for end users and internal teams.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and recommend platform enhancements.

We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Team Lead, SaaS Applications to manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while leading a team of Salesforce Administrators.   • Ability to apply effective prompting techniques to accelerate research, documentation, coding, or analysis tasks.

  • Comfortable learning and adopting new AI-enabled tools as part of day-to-day work, with a willingness to continuously build AI fluency.

  • Understanding of responsible AI use, including data privacy, security, and verification of AI-generated outputs before acting on them.
