Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, LLC in Browns Summit, NC is seeking a Component Team Member to help produce and assemble modular mechanical components, including panels, ductwork, and architectural walls. The role emphasizes precision, safety, and teamwork in a fabrication shop environment.

You will interpret blueprints, set up and maintain equipment, and work with hand and power tools, contributing to high-quality installations on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment setup, blueprint reading, architectural walls, and manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools; welding experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up machinery and equipment for manufacturing processes.
• Ensure equipment is safe and functioning; perform routine maintenance.
• Read and interpret technical blueprints, drawings and specifications.
• Use blueprints to guide component fabrication and assembly of walls.
• Install architectural wall systems per project requirements and ensure alignment.
• Report discrepancies in blueprints to team lead for correction.
• Collaborate with team members to assemble panels, ductwork and walls.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in quality checks and problem-solving on fabrication lines.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Component Team Member to join our fabrication shop in Browns Summit, North Carolina. As a member of our component team, you will play a crucial role in producing and assembling key modular mechanical components that meet our quality standards. This position requires expertise in bolting equipment, reading blueprints, and installing panels, ductwork, and architectural walls.

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: Rural Hall

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up machinery and equipment for manufacturing processes
• Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition and meets safety standards
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery as needed
• Interpret and understand technical blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Use blueprints as a guide for component fabrication and assembly
• Communicate any discrepancies or issues with blueprints to the team lead
• Assemble and install architectural wall systems according to project requirements
• Ensure precise measurements and alignment of wall components
• Collaborate with team members to create visually appealing and functional wall structures

Qualifications

• Proven experience in equipment setup, blueprint reading, architectural walls, and working in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and preferably welding equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety protocols
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to the manufacturing and construction industry
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements

Education Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus

Job Requirements/Special Skills

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
