Job summary

TeamViewer is hiring a Lead Product Designer in Austin to shape intuitive experiences that help our customers support their own users with confidence.

As a design leader, you will set design standards, guide concepts through launch, and mentor a team of designers while balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints. The role emphasizes collaboration across product, engineering, and research.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UX/UI or Product Design experience in a software environment.
• Experience mentoring designers and leading design initiatives.
• Proven ability to drive projects from concept to launch.
• Strong prototyping and visual design skills for intuitive experiences.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management at all levels.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design, user research, usability testing, accessibility, and iterative design.

Responsibilities

• Represent Product Design in cross-functional discussions with Product and Engineering to drive alignment and maintain design quality.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define features and shape product strategy.
• Create concepts, workflows, and prototypes translating customer needs into intuitive experiences.
• Lead by example, mentoring and supporting the growth of other designers.
• Drive end-to-end consistency and contribute to design system evolution.

As a design leader, you will set the standard for design excellence, helping define product direction while mentoring and inspiring your team. You will take ideas from concept to launch, ensuring solutions balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.

Responsibilities

• Represent Product Design in cross-functional discussions, partnering with Product and Engineering to drive alignment and maintain design quality.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define features, shape product strategy, and improve design processes alongside design leadership.
• Create concepts, workflows, and prototypes that translate customer needs and business objectives into intuitive user experiences.
• Lead by example, delivering high-quality design work while mentoring and supporting the growth of other designers.
• Drive a cohesive end-to-end experience across products by identifying opportunities for consistency and contributing to the evolution of our design system.
• Partner with UX Research to uncover customer insights and incorporate findings into product decisions and design iterations.
• Deliver innovative, practical solutions within technical, business, and timeline constraints.

Requirements

• 5+ years of UX/UI or Product Design experience within a software or product development environment.
• Experience mentoring designers and leading design initiatives across cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to independently drive projects from concept through launch.
• Strong prototyping and visual design skills, with the ability to create intuitive, user-centered experiences.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design, user research, usability testing, accessibility, and iterative design practices.
