Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City seeks a capable Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations, staffing and service quality in our hospital dining program.

You will open/close shifts, train staff, manage schedules, handle customer questions, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. The role supports Diet Office leadership and integrates with retail and clinical areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or related operations.
• Food Handler Permit required or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage schedules and staffing effectively.

Responsabilités

• Open or close operations and run shifts in the absence of leadership.
• Oversee day to day operations and ensure service quality and safety.
• Assist with analytics, data entry, inventory, production, waste, and portion control.
• Prepare schedules and ensure staffing levels meet demands.
• Train, coach and supervise staff; handle customer complaints.
• Delegate duties; ensure food requisitions and catering deliveries.
• Assist other departments as needed; handle cash and policy enforcement.

Job Description

Follows direction of NS leadership. Able to open or close operations and run shifts in the absence of leadership. Oversees the execution of day to day operations. Job assignment may include Diet Office leadership production cashier or other key positions. Computer literate. Assists with analytics data entry patient diets inventory management production waste and portion control. Prepares schedules and ensures staffing levels meet demands. Ensure timely service product quality safety and sanitation standards are met. Involved with training and coaching staff. Works stations and fills in for staff as needed. Handles customer complaints. Maintains a positive attitude and conducts interactions in a professional manner. Delegates duties as needed. Makes decisions and communicates well. Ensures food requisitions and caterings are delivered. Assists retail clinical and production areas as needed. Can handle cash. Enforces policies and procedures.
