Job summary

LR Management is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Michigan to join our property management team. You will work with the Property Manager to coordinate safety, maintenance, and equipment needs across the community, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality service.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades, plus experience with Yardi and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years minimum experience as a Maintenance Supervisor (preferred) or Technician in a multi-family apartment setting or equivalent industry.
• HVAC and EPA Certification
• Experience with Yardi
• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair timelines and costs associated with projects
• The ability to set goals and create a plan to accomplish them
• The ability to understand and work within a budget
• Knowledge of property management at the leasing and administrative levels.
• Intermediate computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite.
• Proven time management skills in meeting deadlines and achieving goals
• The ability to create a team-centered environment and lead that team effectively
• The ability to take direction from leadership and follow through on the directive
• Pool certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Working knowledge of the following: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, changing locks and cutting keys, make ready punch lists, carpentry, landscaping, and general curb appeal
• Ordering supplies for inventory
• Scheduling projects in vacant apartments ahead of time to get work completed in a timely manner
• Managing large capital projects including bidding, supervising contractors and sub-contractors, and reviewing completed work
• Communicating with vendors and staff to resolve any issues
