Responsibilities

Material Handler I

• Follow established procedures, processes, or policies.
• Operate forklifts or other equipment to transport materials within the facility.
• Develop knowledge of the company and participate in projects for career development.
• Learn principles, practices, and processes in the function or discipline.
• Resolve problems with assistance from peers or supervisors depending on complexity.
• Perform forklift daily inspections and operate equipment safely.
• Participate in team meetings and maintain attention to detail, attendance, and quality.
• Support safety initiatives and understand ERP system functions.
• Assist in training new employees and participate in the Drive to Zero program.
• Other duties as assigned.

Material Handler II

• Includes responsibilities of Material Handler I.
• Use judgment to resolve issues and participate in projects.
• Contribute to process improvements and lead times.

Material Handler III

• Includes responsibilities of Material Handler I & II.
• Cross-train in different areas, provide training, and lead problem-solving initiatives.
• Suggest improvements to equipment and processes.

Requirements

Material Handler I

• Ability to operate or learn to operate material handling equipment.
• Basic problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Effective communication and professional work ethics.

Material Handler II

• Cross-training in multiple operations and advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to train others and communicate effectively.

Material Handler III

• Two years of material handling/forklift experience and certification.

Physical Demands

Regular talking, hearing, manual manipulation, standing, walking, occasional stooping, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Frequent computer use, with occasional travel.
