Job summary

Plansee USA LLC in Franklin, USA, seeks a production coordinator to align operator and machinist assignments for efficient production and assist supervision in planning manufacturing processes.

You will train new employees, monitor CNC performance, update programs, and ensure safety and quality standards across lean manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational certification preferred.
• Minimum five years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machines: programming/editing lathe or mill.
• Ability to read blueprints and use inspection tools.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assignments of operators and machinists to maintain production flow.
• Start-up/shutdown and operation of assigned CNC equipment.
• Train new employees in setup, operation and maintenance.
• Monitor quality using standard inspection instruments.
• Support safety, cost and ISO/AS9100 compliance.
• Document shift handoffs and report performance feedback.

Our employees in 50 countries worldwide – all working with passion to enable high-tech applications with our strong metals: tungsten and molybdenum.At our Plansee site in Franklin, USA, we specialize in transforming semi-finished molybdenum and tungsten products into complex components—leveraging decades of precision manufacturing and engineering excellence.Join a highly motivated team in Franklin, USA, where local expertise meets the global knowledge and values of the Plansee Group.Position type: HourlyCoordinates the assignments of operators/machinists to ensure efficient production and assists supervision in the planning of manufacturing processes and improvements.Assist with administrative tasks as directed and provide feedback to supervisor relating to performance of team members and/or equipment.Performs routine operations of assigned machine(s), including but not limited to start-up/shutdown and operation of equipment.Monitors machine performance regarding quality output and quality of parts produced using standard inspection instruments.Responsible for training new employees in set-up, operation and maintenance of equipment.Update, develop and troubleshoot machine programs and tooling problems and correct as necessary to maintain production.Provide group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, cost, production and compliance to ISO: 9001:2000 and AS9100 quality standards.Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.Assist in providing input to team members’ annual performance review.Stay current on new/improved machining methods, CNC program enhancements and state-of-the-art tools.Embrace ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishment.Support company policies, procedures and safety regulations.Other duties as required.QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED.
