Job summary

Rusty Taco is seeking a Team Lead to support the restaurant management team during daily operations in Gilbert, AZ. This hourly, non-exempt role focuses on delivering consistent service, food quality, and cleanliness while guiding team members on shift.

You will supervise staff, manage staffing levels, assist with deliveries, coach teammates on recipes and standards, and help with opening and closing duties. Strong communication and calm multitasking are essential.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience is preferred.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependable, professional, and a team player.
• Food Handler/Food Safety Certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Responsible Alcohol Service Certification where applicable.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise team members during assigned shifts, setting a positive example
• Manage staffing levels and adjust as needed based on business needs
• Assist with receiving and verifying product deliveries, ensuring quality and proper storage
• Help train and coach new and existing team members on recipes, procedures, and company standards
• Support with opening and closing duties, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately
• Recognize and appreciate team contributions to foster a positive work environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming restaurant environment
• Communicate effectively with the management team and team members
