Team Lead – Events – Corporate Travel Management

USA (Midwest preferred)

Time Zone: PST or MST hours

Our client is a leading name in the corporate travel and event management industry, known for delivering exceptional service through a combination of cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled team. With a strong presence across North America and ambitious plans for continued growth, they are looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Lead – Events to support their expanding operations.

Team Lead – Events: What Will I Be Doing?

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll manage both people and projects—overseeing a team of event professionals while ensuring the flawless delivery of high-quality events for corporate clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting a team of 5–7 event specialists
  • Managing your own client portfolio and delivering events from end to end
  • Conducting weekly 1:1s, setting team goals, and managing performance reviews
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Ensuring accurate use of platforms such as Cvent for sourcing, attendee management, and reporting
  • Providing on-site event support as needed
  • Collaborating with internal departments to enhance efficiency and maintain service excellence
  • Identifying opportunities for account growth and new business

Team Lead – Events: What Experience Do I Need?

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a combination of leadership, client service, and event operations experience. We're looking for someone who brings:

  • At least 3 years of experience in corporate event planning
  • 2+ years using Cvent, with confidence in reporting and attendee management
  • Proven team leadership skills, including experience conducting 1:1s and performance reviews
  • Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to lead intake calls
  • A detail-oriented and process-driven approach
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint

Team Lead – Events: What Else Do I Need to Know?

Remote role: You’ll work remotely and should be based in the Midwest region of the U.S.

Working hours: Aligned to Pacific or Mountain Time (PST/MST) 08.30am - 5pm

Occasional travel: May be required to support on-site events
