Job Summary

Position Overview: MedStar Health is seeking an EVS Team Lead to join our team at Montgomery Medical Center.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of Environmental Services staff, ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of assigned areas according to quality and safety standards.
• Supervise staff during assigned shifts, including reviewing assignments, conducting orientation, counseling, and training.
• Maintain staff schedules, noting absences and assigned tasks to ensure continuous workflow.
• Assist other departments in resolving housekeeping issues and review schedules, practices, and policies for efficiency.
• Perform inspections of assigned areas, report deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions.
• Requisition supplies, monitor utilization, and implement cost-saving programs.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensure availability of supplies and equipment, and test new equipment as instructed.
• Verify completed work for compliance with procedures.
• Support staff development through orientation and in-service training, set performance goals, and assess policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years' experience in a hospital setting required.

This position offers a hiring range of $17.50 - $28.73 per hour.
