Position Summary
Team Lead, Dock Weekend – Friday through Monday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing all operational activities within the warehousing, receiving, and shipping area, ensuring service and cost objectives are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor and train associates on distribution activities and Standard Operating Procedures for shipping, receiving, picking, and quality control.
- Assist with forklift operation and certification of new and existing associates.
- Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stacking of product, and staging of outbound shipments, verifying paperwork and accuracy.
- Load orders onto appropriate doors and trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in shipping and receiving processes.
- Represent the team professionally in appearance and communications; communicate with customers as needed.
- Prepare accurate activity reports for site management.
- Ensure quality control functions are performed per SOP, reporting damages or discrepancies, and stacking, packaging, and labeling products.
- Participate in quality and safety meetings; report inconsistencies to supervisors.
- Execute safety protocols, maintain warehouse cleanliness, and assist with security.
- Direct the operations of the warehouse team to meet productivity objectives.
- Assist associates with productivity sheets, payroll hours, and schedule implementation.
- Participate in department meetings and initiate actions to prevent non-conformities.
- Operate and maintain equipment such as sit‑down, stand‑up, reach truck, sweeper scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, Aisle Master, or pallet jack; maintain active forklift certification.
- Assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
- Perform clerical tasks as directed, including answering phones, scheduling, filing, and visitor greeting.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed; work overtime as dictated by business.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience in a logistics or distribution environment.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Comfortable working in unregulated temperatures ranging from mild to moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
- Successful completion of a forklift training program.
Computer Skills
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with RF scanners and WMS functions.
Language Skills
- English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical Skills
- Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory, and performing related tasks.

Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution setting.
- 2–4 years of proven forklift experience.
- Current or prior MHE certification.
Physical Demands
- Occasionally: hand and finger manipulation, sitting, handling product and/or packaging materials.
- Frequently: bending.
- Constantly: walking and standing.
- Lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling: 21–50 pounds; includes reaching, squatting, kneeling.
Work Environment
The work environment has low to moderate noise levels and minimal exposure to fumes or chemicals.

Compensation and Benefits
Base pay range: $23.50 – $23.50 per hour. Actual compensation will be based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location. Benefits information is available through the DSV Benefits Showcase.
