Job summary

Benchmark Human Services is seeking a qualified Team Leader for a Swedesboro, NJ group home to supervise Direct Support Professionals and coordinate staffing with a focus on person-centered care.

The role includes mentoring DSPs, attending training, supervising daily operations, and ensuring safety and rights for individuals with disabilities while working with a dedicated team in a community setting.

Qualifications

• At least one year of management experience.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled population.
• At least 2 years working in direct care.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate individual served doctor's appointments.
• Assist in crisis situations.
• Assist in coordinating staffing coverage.
• Mentor/teach Direct Support Professionals how to work with individuals served.
• Monitor individuals served spending money and diet plans.
• Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities.
• Ensure a safe and clean home for people served.
• Document data displaying individual goals and progression.
• Participate in ongoing professional training.
