Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in CS/EE/CE/Software Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of experience
• Strong knowledge of C, C++, C#, and/or Java
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and lead in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers responsible for developer tools, test infrastructure, telemetry, and software health measurement
• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for development tooling and engineering enablement
• Partner with Garmin engineering organizations to improve software development efficiency and product quality
• Drive company-wide initiatives focused on automation, standardization, and developer productivity
• Collaborate with IT and engineering to design scalable development platforms and infrastructure
• Establish metrics and use telemetry data to measure software health and productivity
• Communicate strategy, roadmap progress, risks, and results to stakeholders
• Balance competing priorities across product segments while aligning with company objectives
• Directly supervise team members with coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities
• Foster a culture of technical excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement
• Participate in recruiting, interviews, onboarding, and training of team members
