Our nurses in Acute Care Medicine manage patients with a wide range of clinical issues, including blood dyscrasias, endocrine pathologies, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, and more. Due to patient acuity, we provide advanced training to elevate new nurses to the highest levels of practice. Each unit is led by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse, supported by an advanced practice nurse, with additional team members such as case managers, social workers, physical therapists, dietitians, and pharmacists working together to deliver quality care.
Under the direction of the manager, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of a unit on a designated shift. Performs direct patient care as needed and functions as a clinical resource to nursing and support staff. Assesses, plans, evaluates, and documents the nursing process of the assigned unit as needed.
Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
