Job summary

United Wholesale Mortgage in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Maintenance Technician Team Leader to manage a multi-trade upkeep operation across our 2 million square feet campus. You will guide a skilled team handling carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and more, ensuring safe, reliable facilities.

With at least 3 years of facilities leadership, you will coordinate with Building Engineers, prioritize work, communicate with stakeholders, and schedule proactive maintenance while staying compliant

Qualifications

• 3 years of facilities or commercial construction leadership.
• Experience leading a maintenance team across carpentry, electrical, plumbing.
• Strong communication with team, vendors and the public.
• Ability to work in the United States and meet legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Building Engineers on tasks across the building.

• Prioritize workload and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician Team Leader is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to the maintenance and repair of our state-of-the-art corporate campus. We are looking for someone with 3 years of facilities or commercial construction leadership. Your knowledge and skills will be tested and developed leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians that are responsible for carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, painting, and more across nearly 2 Million square feet of commercial office space.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coordinate with Building Engineers on tasks throughout the building
• Lead team in maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and painting
• Prioritizing workload for team, ensuring proper communication with stakeholders and timelines for completion
• Being proactive scheduling and maintain routine maintenance, as well as identifying work that needs to be done
• Providing courteous, high-quality service to team members by personally responding to requests for service
• Providing any needed assistance to team members, vendors, and visitors
• Preparedness on any emergency situations in each building
• Monday through Friday hours, however, may be required to work nights, days, holidays and weekends
• Meeting the physical requirements of the job and the ability to work in the environmental conditions listed below to perform common Team Leader functions and duties
• Performing all duties in a safe manner, following all safety procedures

What We Need From You

Must Have Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of commercial carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
• Construction background
• Team Lead experience
• Knowledgeable use of tools of the trade required
• Meet all legal requirements to be able to work in the United States
• Must demonstrate good moral fitness and ethical standards
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team members, vendors and the public, to understand and follow standard operating procedures, to perform duties in a professional manner
• Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures
• Must be detailed oriented and have satisfactory literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities. Must be proficient at computer based programs in Microsoft and web-based platforms

Meet minimum requirements set by insurer to drive a company vehicle:

• No moving traffic violations in the past 3 years. No at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Have not had driver's license denied, suspended or revoked in the last 3 years
• No driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUI) convictions in the past 3 years
