Job summary

Permobil Lebanon, TN is seeking a Team Lead Assembly to drive on-time production, supervise assembly staff, and ensure quality adherence on the 1st shift. You’ll collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet schedules, inspect parts, and implement process improvements.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior manufacturing experience, and familiarity with ERP and Windows software. Strong communication and coaching skills are essential to mentor staff and optimize operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and specifications.
• Familiarity with adaptive technology, mobility equipment, or medical device standards desirable.
• Knowledge of ERP and basic Windows software is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production schedules are met and WIP levels for Assembly are satisfactory.
• Physically and visually inspect bonded parts for proper assembly and function.
• Partner with engineering and assembly teams to understand customer specifications.
• Communicate non-conformances to operators, Supervisors, and Managers.
• Be a liaison between Bonding, Kitting, Spares and other staff.
• Flex into assembly, kitting, spare production, and shipping roles as needed.
• Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and company policies.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality capability of the areas responsible.
