Job summary

Tate is seeking a Team Leader for its production department. You will direct department activities to manufacture quality products on time and at target costs, while supporting the development of employees within the team.

You will enforce safety policies, coordinate shipping and packing, and work closely with other teams to ensure efficient production and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct safety and ensure PPE and LOTO compliance.
• Manage shipping, packing, labeling and staging for loading.
• Prepare manifests and loading diagrams; ensure weight targets.
• Process SA transactions to generate invoices.
• Complete export manifests and liaise with customer service.
• Handle Canadian shipment documents; monitor inventory accuracy.
• Collaborate in a team to cover breaks and maintain housekeeping.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and product compliance requirements.

• Pay or shift range: $24 USD to $28 USD

About the Role

The Team Leader is responsible for directing the activities of the assigned production department to manufacture quality products on time and at required cost. This position also is responsible for assisting in the development and growth of employees assigned to the respective departments.

What You’ll Do

• Directly responsible for the safety of department employees to include stringent enforcement of safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times, communication of monthly safety topics, prompt completion of all accident or near miss reports, and ensure that all LOTO procedures are followed at all times.
• Check shipping list daily and print out orders so they can be packed by our packing dept. Ensure partial list for panels is being packed and LTL jobs are properly labeled. Assign associates to stage and label for shipping; check over manifest once packing is completed.
• Complete manifest, draw instruction diagram for loading material on truck, ensuring weight is to a minimum of 1000 lbs. every two foot.
• Perform SA transactions to create invoices for customers.
• Complete export manifest and send to customer service rep responsible for job request.
• Complete all Canada documents needed for Canadian shipments Ensure correct inventory and make adjustments as needed.
• Work as part of a team environment to include relieving other employs in instances of breaks, absenteeism, vacation, or other production requirements.
• Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.

• Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
• Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
