Job summary

Tate, a global leader within Kingspan Group, seeks a Team Leader for its US production operations. You will direct a production department, ensure on-time quality products, and help grow colleagues in a dynamic environment.

Strong supervisory experience in manufacturing, safety leadership, and core computer skills are essential as you drive efficiency and adherence to policies across shifts.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Previous supervisory experience or education preferred, 8–10 years in manufacturing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer literacy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for safety of department employees and enforce safety policies.
  • Manage shipping lists, packing, labeling, and manifest accuracy for shipments.
  • Create invoices and SA transactions for customers.
  • Complete export manifest and Canada documents as needed.
  • Collaborate in a team to cover breaks and production requirements.
  • Maintain housekeeping and follow safety procedures.

About The Role

The Team Leader is responsible for directing the activities of the assigned production department to manufacture quality products on time and at required cost. This position also is responsible for assisting in the development and growth of employees assigned to the respective departments.

What You’ll Do
  • Directly responsible for the safety of department employees to include stringent enforcement of safety policies and procedures, ensuring proper PPE is worn at all times, communication of monthly safety topics, prompt completion of all accident or near miss reports, and ensure that all LOTO procedures are followed at all times.
  • Check shipping list daily and print out orders so they can be packed by our packing dept. Ensure partial list for panels is being packed and LTL jobs are properly labeled. Assign associates to stage and label for shipping; check over manifest once packing is completed.
  • Complete manifest, draw instruction diagram for loading material on truck, ensuring weight is to a minimum of 1000 lbs. every two feet.
  • Perform SA transactions to create invoices for customers.
  • Complete export manifest and send to customer service rep responsible for job request.
  • Complete all Canada documents needed for Canadian shipments Ensure correct inventory and make adjustments as needed.
  • Work as part of a team environment to include relieving other employs in instances of breaks, absenteeism, vacation, or other production requirements.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety procedures.
Additional Expectations
  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring

  • Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.
  • Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop, or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
