Job summary

Techniplas, LLC is seeking a Team Lead for the 3rd shift in Anderson, SC. You will supervise operators, ensure 6S standards, monitor quality, and train new staff while coordinating shift handovers.

The role requires strong manufacturing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and ideally an AA or technical training. You will also support environmental compliance and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• AA degree or two-year college/technical school equivalent is preferred.
• 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training, or an equivalent education/experience mix.

Responsibilities

• Verify processes against BOM and work instructions.
• Maintain 6S standards on the shop floor.
• Assist supervisor and operators during and after shift transitions.
• Monitor quality and scrap from machines; perform mini-audits.
• Train and retrain operators; pair new hires with approved trainees.
• Lead start-up of new jobs and provide input to written work instructions.
• Comply with environmental requirements and report incidents.

Techniplas has long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading automotive and industrial OEMs.* Verify process using correct material, verses BOM and document lot traceabilit* Ensure 6s standards are being met on the shop floor* Break Relieving of PCA’s on the shop floor when applicable.* Verify operator conformance to work instructions.* Training and retraining of new and experienced machine operators: + - Operator Instructions (Packing Parts, Labeling Boxes, Workstation Layout, Scrap Sheets, etc.) - Quality Issues common to the parts produced (Terminology, identification of defect, locations of the defects, etc.) - Paperwork and procedures* Monitors quality and scrap from machines during shift.* Performs Mini-Audits on parts produced ahead of and in unison of the quality department.* Assist supervisor and all operators during and after the completion of the shift (s)* Help with the transition of shift this includes completion of paperwork, communication, and housekeeping* Daily/Weekly review of operator instruction booklets for correct documentation and procedure compliance. This includes updating the training matrix posted on the board* Review of the work instructions to ensure operators are following procedures, and the instructions are accurate, as well as easy to follow. If changes are needed, note these changes and inform the Quality Department to have instructions updated* When a new operator comes in, the need to ensure there is understanding is vital. Pairing them up with an approved trainee operator is crucial if you cannot spend the one-on-one time with them.* The Lead operator/trainer will work with the startup of new jobs to aid in set-up of workstations.* By taking part of a new job, you are able to give input on the written instructions, making changes to adhere to the best method of performing the job.* Comply with all Environmental Requirements and Policies* Report all Environmental incidents to immediate supervisor* Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).## QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED RequiredAssociate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
