Job summary

Stryker Group in New Jersey seeks a manager to lead a team of contributors across locations, overseeing scheduling, technical support, and employee development, including hiring, coaching, and performance appraisals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to support business needs.
  • Valid Driver’s license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scheduling, provide technical assistance, and employee development including hiring and performance appraisals.
  • Supervise several individual contributors across locations.
  • Collaborate with Distribution, Field Operations, Sales, and Marketing to optimize the supply chain and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure on-time, complete, and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Achieve and exceed performance metrics including quality, reliability, inventory, and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, legal, HR policies; promote safe work practices.
  • Drive operational excellence via team-based, product-focused planning and continuous improvement.
  • Foster an ethical corporate culture and open communication.

Job description

What you will do -
  • Managerial responsibilities including but not limited to: scheduling, providing technical assistance, and employee development which include hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures.

  • Manage several individual contributors that may be in geographically separated locations.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Distribution and Field Operations, Sales, Mktg, etc.) in optimizing the supply chain while providing customer satisfaction through teamwork and empowerment, solve problems through a consultative approach, operate with honesty and integrity and provide a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service.

  • Ensure on-time, complete and accurate delivery of products to customers

  • Ensure individuals and team as a whole consistently achieve or exceed all performance metrics. Metrics may include, but are not limited to, quality, reliability, implant availability, budgets, productivity, efficiency, inventory, cost reduction and revenue.

  • Ensure compliance with established regulatory and quality, legal, corporate, and human resources policies and procedures while creating an environment free of safety hazards and improper ergonomic conditions while driving employee commitment to use safe work practices every day.

  • Achieve operational excellence via team-based and product-focused orientation, capacity planning, continuous improvement, safety awareness, and cost reduction to be implemented so timely, accurate deliveries are produced.

  • Actively participate in the ongoing development of a corporate culture that strives to achieve the highest ethical standards. Conduct all business affairs ethically and lawfully and ensure open, honest communication without fear of retaliation.

  • Complete other duties as assigned

Required -
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or other relevant field of study OR 6+ years of equivalent work experience in leu of degree - required
  • Must have the ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs – required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license with a good driving record – required
Preferred -
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and Access and/or ERP systems (including data analysis tools i.e., queries, pivot tables, etc.) - highly preferred
