Now Hiring: TEAM LEAD - 2ND SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY
Team Lead is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership and coordination of manufacturing team members to ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to established quality, delivery, and productivity requirements. The Team Lead serves as the primary link between production employees and the Supervisor and supports a positive, accountable, and continuous-improvement-focused work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Stand in for Supervisor in their absence
- Oversee and lead the shift
- Start Up meetings
- Communicates, via email, the End of Shift Reports to on coming shift Team lead, Supervisor, and Production Manager
- Works with support groups to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and cost within standards
- Make sure that the products and machinery are in line with regulatory standards
- Coaches and develops employees
- Resolves employee issues at the lowest level
- Assure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Track metrics of departmental performance and provide regular reports to Supervisor
Qualifications
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS (Skills & Abilities)
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Basic computer skills to create\update existing data analysis documentation
- Mathematical skills to accurately record counts, check dimensions, and interpret drawings.
- Communication skills to instruct others, discuss priorities, and troubleshoot problems.
- Ability to learn, and then teach, all departmental equipment
- Ability to pass testing and maintain a forklift license to load and unload material.
- Act independently
- Flexible schedule in order to meet company needs
- Demonstrate a commitment to Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Continuous Improvement
- Ability to work independently or in a team
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with equipment
- Other duties as assigned
