Job summary

CoorsTek is seeking a Team Lead to direct day-to-day activities for a specific shift in manufacturing. The role focuses on producing acceptable products, maintaining order, and guiding a team without people management responsibilities.

You will monitor performance, coach operators, and coordinate with supervisors to optimize workflow while ensuring safety and data accuracy. This position offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading a shift-based manufacturing team.
  • Strong written and verbal instructions capability.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and safety rules.
  • One year of relevant manufacturing experience.
  • Basic math and computer skills for production data.

Responsibilities

  • Direct work of operators following production schedule.
  • Communicate production challenges and offer solutions to department supervisor
  • Maintain production data (workflow and scrap) in appropriate computer database
  • Provide continual updates to department supervisor on employee performance and conduct issues
  • Operate and/or setup equipment to produce acceptable product per work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects and record results; adjust process or notify for deviations
  • Partner with department supervisor and production planner to determine work flow and schedule
  • Train and coach incoming employees on work instructions and policies
  • Monitor, review and approve employee time records
  • Gather improvement ideas and assist with implementation
  • Wear required PPE at all times

Job description

Job Title

Team Lead Responsible for directing day to day activities of workers for a specific shift or area and for the production of acceptable product. Leads and encourages a team environment to meet departmental goals and objectives. Maintains work area cleanliness. (No people management responsibilities (e.g. performance management and reviews, hiring, etc.).

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Direct work of operators following production schedule;
  • communicate production challenges and offer solutions to department supervisor
  • Maintain production data (workflow and scrap) in appropriate computer database
  • Provide continual updates to department supervisor on employee performance and conduct issues
  • Operate and/or setup a variety of manufacturing equipment in assigned area to produce acceptable product per work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects as part of in-process inspection; record results, adjust process/machine or notify appropriate person of deviation when needed
  • Partner with department supervisor and production planner to determine work flow and schedule
  • Train and coach incoming employees on department work instructions, processes, procedures and policies
  • Monitor, review and approve employee time records in a consistent and timely manner
  • Gather improvement ideas, assist with implementation and maintain as directed by department supervisor
  • Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory
Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: One (1) year relevant experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to provide and receive verbal and written instructions Intermediate math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals and fractions) and computer skills Demonstrated leadership and coaching/mentoring ability Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner Ability to problem solve and collaborate cross functionally when issues arise Intermediate knowledge of production processes and equipment within assigned area Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Target Hiring Range : USD 23.00 - USD 29.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
