Job summary

CoorsTek in the United States is hiring a Production Operator II to support multiple shifts. You will operate and adjust complex production equipment, inspect parts for quality, and transfer parts between steps using standard software.

The role requires attention to detail and teamwork in a clean, safety‑driven environment. You should have at least 1 year of manufacturing experience and a high school diploma, with GD&T knowledge and basic measurement skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience.
• Able to read verbal/written instructions and measurements.
• Knowledge of micrometers, calipers, and similar tools.
• Familiar with GD&T on complex blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple, complex production equipment per work orders.
• Make machine adjustments and notify needed personnel.
• Inspect parts for quality to meet specs and take corrective action.
• Use software to transfer parts to next process.
• Load/unload and stack products with handling equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and PPE compliance.
• Provide training to incoming operators on processes and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate multiple, complex production equipment and/or a variety of production tools to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions.
• Make necessary machine adjustments and promptly contact the appropriate personnel when needed.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality and customer specifications, taking appropriate action for parts that do not meet standards and recommending solutions.
• Utilize computer software to transfer parts to the next process.
• Load, unload, and stack products; transport products using hand-trucks, forklifts, cranes, or hoists.
• Maintain cleanliness in the work area, including machines, tools, and equipment.
• Provide training to incoming operators on processes and procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in mandatory areas.

Job Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary.

Experience: A minimum of 1-year applicable manufacturing experience.

• Ability to understand and act on verbal and or written instructions.
• Proficient in reading/interpreting standard and metric measurements.
• Intermediate math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Deep knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, and advanced measuring equipment like SmartScope or CMM.
• Use Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) to read and understand the relationship between complex blueprints and parts.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent listening skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team from various cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range : 19.50 - 21.00

Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
