Job summary

Literacy Delaware is seeking volunteers to support its literacy programs across Delaware and the Philadelphia/Wilmington/Atlantic City area. Members will coordinate professional development and mentoring opportunities for learners, and manage pre- and post-testing for new and exiting learners.

Benefits include an education award upon successful completion of service and a stipend to assist with living and program costs while contributing to improved literacy for adults.

Job description

Believing that literacy is the great equalizer, Literacy Delaware advances literacy through training, tutoring, English language acquisition, and advocacy for all Delawareans. For nearly 40 years, Literacy Delaware has trained volunteers to tutor adults with low literacy or English language skills.

Member Duties :

• Coordinate professional development and mentoring opportunities for members.
