The role requires coaching teammates, enforcing SOPs, and maintaining accurate picking, packing, and shipment documentation while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of shipping process and equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Follows warehouse procedures including sorting, loading/unloading, shipment processing and documentation.
  • Operates a forklift or other equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.
  • Lead on shift tasks and coach team to meet productivity targets.
  • Picks, packs, and ships orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace; ensures supplies are stocked at workstations.
  • Trains new hires and reinforces SOPs and best practices.

Reports To: Warehouse SupervisorPOSITION SUMMARY: The Team Lead is responsible for ensuring the warehouse operations is operating efficiently and productively. This role will take lead on shift tasks and supports the guidance from the Warehouse Supervisor to drive efficiency and productivity in coordination with leadership and warehouse floor team members.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Follows warehouse operational procedures including sorting, loading/unloading activities, shipment processing and documentation, manifesting, packaging, and sending shipment status information.Operates a forklift (or other equipment) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise.Responsible for maintaining safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.Motivates, organizes, and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.Evaluates, prioritizes, deploys, and completes the daily work.Picks, packs, and ships orders accurately and efficiently.Maintains a clean and orderly workspace.Puts away miss picks and cancelled orders daily.Ensures workstations are stocked with supplies and tools.Trains all new hires within area of responsibility.Reinforces SOPs and best practices. Provides coaching as needed to ensure high level of productivity and efficiency is achieved.Performs the packaging supplies inventory for the assigned areas weekly.Communicates all issues to the appropriate management person.Leads the team professionally and with a positive attitude.Completes other duties as assigned by Warehouse Leadership.“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma and/or GED required.Knowledge of shipping process and equipment.Proven record of accomplishment in taking initiative to accomplish tasks in a creative way with a sense of urgency and assertiveness.Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), web navigation and basic hardware experience (IE: Ship stations).Strong oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to quickly build rapport with employees.Ability to read, write and communicate in English.KEY ATTRIBUTES:Detail orientedMust be well organizedPHYSICAL OR MENTAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to see, hear, talk, write, read, stand, walk, bend over, and be alert at all times. The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. While infrequent, employee may need to visit warehouse locations in which employee may need to lift, push, and pull up to 20 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, drive (vehicle), stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
