Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a dedicated Team Assistant in Houston for a full-time role supporting the Team Director, performing EMR updates, census handling, and inventory management of medical supplies. You will collaborate with field staff and healthcare leaders to ensure seamless operations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ years of clerical experience (preferably in healthcare), and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems. 40-hour workweek, on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or related, required.
• 1+ years’ clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Update the ADT missing elements in EMR system by reviewing daily.
• Record census updates daily into the EMR system to capture admissions, discharges, transfers, and changes in care level.
• Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies for the field staff.
• Process DME orders in the EMR and ancillary systems.
• Assist in preparing IPOC/485 documents with the TD and MD as needed.
• Coordinate with the Medical Director and community physicians on timely documentation.

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

Responsibilities:

As a Team Assistant, you will:

• Update the ADT missing elements in EMR system by reviewing the ADT exception report daily
• Participate in stand up/down and records census updates daily into the EMR system to ensure admissions, discharges/deaths, transfers, and changes in level of care, changes in team and/or branch are captured for accurate census
• Assist the Team Director (TD) by ordering and maintaining appropriate inventory of medical supplies for the field staff
• Processes DME orders in the EMR system and any ancillary systems
• Responsible for IDG preparation and assisting the TD as requested in preparing for Team Meeting
• Maintain close communication with the Medical Director (MD) and community physicians in completing their IPOC/485 documents timely and prior to meetings by leveraging the use of eNote and Collaborator
