Firefly Children & Family Alliance is currently seeking a full-time AND part time Teaching Specialist for our children's shelter. As a Teaching Specialist, you are responsible for teaching sound social, academic, and independent living skills to youth placed in the shelter care facility through the Teaching Family Model in order to promote positive behavior change based on each youth's individualized behavior management plan.
This position is scheduled on second shift, with hours of 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Candidates must be available to work at least one weekend shift per week.
In addition, part-time staff are required to attend two separate weeks of in-person orientation and training, which take place Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
