Job summary

KIPP Atlanta Schools is seeking residents for a two-year Teaching Residency in partnership with Relay Graduate School of Education. Residents earn a master’s in teaching and Georgia teaching certificate while training in classrooms with mentor teachers.

Year 1 provides a $42,500 stipend plus benefits; Year 2 advances to a full teacher salary with benefits. Candidates should complete a bachelor’s degree by June 2027 and show strong commitment to underrepresented communities.

Qualifications

• Obtain a bachelor’s degree by June 2027
• GPA 3.00 or above preferred
• Passion to teach in an underrepresented community

Responsibilities

• Develop teaching skills through regular feedback and coaching
• Participate and contribute as a member of the school community
• Provide individual or small group instruction for students
• Attend school PD sessions and Relay coursework
• Communicate student progress to families and colleagues
• Model the values of KIPP Atlanta in communications with students and staff
• Engage in goal setting, observations, and debriefs with mentors and leaders
