University of Washington in Tacoma invites applications for a part-time Teaching Professor position (0.8–1.0 FTE) in MEDEX - Family Medicine. The role focuses on classroom and online teaching, curriculum development, and course coordination, with a 12-month, non-tenure track appointment to begin March 2027.

Base salary ranges are provided for Assistant and Associate ranks, and the position includes participation in teaching, scholarly activity, and program development across MEDEX sites.

Formación

• Masters’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
• Completion of an accredited PA program.
• Eligible for PA licensure in the state of assigned campus.
• Current NCCPA certification or equivalent and two years of clinical experience.
• Teaching experience of six months in either a classroom or clinical setting is required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop syllabi, lectures, exams, and student assessment instruments.
• Delivers course instruction including lecturing and facilitation of other learning activities including facilitation of small group discussion, workshops, and simulation training throughout the didactic phase.
• Chairing or Co-chairing at least one course
• Academic advising of students
• Working professionally and collaboratively with other faculty members, medical director, staff and instructional faculty
