Job summary

Jackson Park Golf Course in Seattle is seeking a full-time Golf Instructor/Teaching Professional to support the Director of Instruction with daily lesson operations and exceptional customer service. The role requires strong knowledge of the game, swing fundamentals, club-fitting experience, and the ability to teach private and group lessons, clinics, and camps.

Ideal candidates have LPGA/PGA membership, 3+ years in golf, and the capacity to manage lesson programs while maintaining range upkeep;

Qualifications

• LPGA/PGA member or associate in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the golf industry.
• Club fitting experience preferred.
• BA/BS degree preferred.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and be on your feet for long shifts.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Pass drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Teach the fundamentals of the golf swing as directed by the Director of Instruction.
• Use technology to support player development (Top Tracer, video, scheduling tools).
• Design and implement marketing ideas to promote instruction and generate revenue.
• Maintain driving range, lesson tee, and equipment storage.
• Promote clinics, classes, and camps for all ages.
• Manage and teach daily clinics and private/group lessons.
• Assist in creating lesson plans and ensure safe work practices.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance and proper receipt categorization.

Overview

Jackson Park Golf Course is seeking a full-time Golf Instructor/Teaching Professional to assist the Director of Instruction with the daily lesson operation of the facility while providing a professional and consistent customer service presence. The role requires strong knowledge of the game of golf, a fundamental understanding of the golf swing, club-fitting processes, equipment trends, and experience with both private and group instruction.

Experience Required

• Member or Registered Associate in good standing with the LPGA and/or PGA of America.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the golf industry preferred.
• Club fitting experience preferred.
• BA/BS degree preferred.
• Ability to be on feet for the majority of the shift and lift 25 lbs. as part of daily duties.
• Willingness to work required shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• Possess an engaging, positive, and highly motivated personality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.

Essential Responsibilities

• Teach the fundamentals of the golf swing as established by the Director of Instruction.
• Leverage technology to supplement player development curriculum, including U Schedule, Top Tracer, social media, and video.
• Design and implement marketing ideas to promote golf instruction and programs and generate additional revenue.
• Help maintain general upkeep of the driving range, lesson tee, and lesson equipment storage.
• Promote all instruction programs including clinics, classes, and camps.
• Manage and teach clinics on a daily basis.
• Assist in the creation of lesson plans.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Certify and categorize all golf instruction-related receipts for personal payroll processing in accordance with company and state policies and laws.
• Conduct private lessons, group clinics, classes, and camps for adults and juniors.
