Job summary

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Teaching Kitchen Supervisor in Napa, CA works with the Teaching Kitchen Manager to ensure day-to-day operations, stockroom, and facilities support for all programs.

With an emphasis on inventory, coordination with ACAP and CIA teams, the role requires strong organizational skills, attention to par levels, and ability to manage events and equipment needs.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent, or 5+ years in kitchen management.
• Knowledge of California food handling laws.
• Serve Safe Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen setup and breakdown for programs.
• Oversee inventory management for teaching kitchen areas.
• Maintain par stock levels and coordinate supplies.
• Lead supply ordering and delivery logistics with manager.
• Supervise and train teaching coordinators.
• Ensure CIA cleanliness and service standards.
