Job summary

Community Consolidated School District 59 at Devonshire Elementary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to provide individualized instruction under the guidance of the classroom teacher. You will support age-appropriate activities and assist other staff while helping maintain a clean and safe classroom environment for students.

The position offers a 7-hour workday with compensation ranging from $18.96 to $20.21 per hour, plus participation in the IMRF pension, paid holidays, time-off benefits,

Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively and compassionately with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to utilize technology for email communications, calendar appointments, record keeping, etc.
• Must hold or be willing to acquire substitute teacher license.
• Oral and written fluency in English; Spanish or Polish language skills a plus.
