Job summary

Leigh CE Primary in Leigh is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support teachers in delivering high-quality learning activities for primary pupils. The role includes working with individuals and small groups, providing targeted support for learners with additional needs, and promoting a safe, engaging classroom environment.

The successful candidate will have experience in a primary setting and hold a Level 2 TA qualification (or equivalent).

Qualifications

  • Experience of working with children in a primary school setting.
  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Fully supports the ethos and aims of the school
  • Be able to adapt and respond appropriately to challenging situations
  • Ensure the wellbeing of the children is always maintained
  • Experience of working with children of relevant age in a learning environment and with pupils with additional social and emotional needs.

Responsibilities

Salary: Grade 3, £17,878 per annum. £13.69 per hour

30 hours per week, term time working 38 weeks per year

Temporary until 31st August 2027
