Orchard View Schools is seeking a Teaching Assistant / Health Care Aide for the ASD classroom in the Early Elementary School. The role runs 6.75 hours daily (8:45am-4:00pm, Mon-Fri) during the school year with a pay rate of $16.79/hour.

PAY RATE: $16.79
QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING ASSISANT / HEALTH CARE AIDE:
Employee shall report and be directly responsible to the assigned teacher(s) as approved by the administrator. They will be responsible to follow the teacher's directives and be involved with the students, monitoring progress, data/record keeping, and reinforcing the lessons and/or activities, or as deemed appropriate by position. Must be Highly Qualified per Department of Education in order to apply for this position. Highly qualified as in having an associate's degree, 60 credit hours or have taken the ETS assessment with a score at 460 or higher.
HCA are employed to primarily provide specific assistance to identified students. These positions may require district to provide training in medical related and bodily care functions to include but not limited to trachea suction, cauterization, postural drainage or percussion, CPR, ostomy feeding tubes, bathing, catheterization, diapering, lifting, dispensing of medication.
