Job summary

Orchard View Schools seeks a Teaching Assistant for Blue Village in the Early Elementary School. The role supports the lead teacher, assists with student progress, data entry, and reinforcement of lessons during a full school-year schedule.

The position requires a highly qualified candidate per state standards (associate degree, 60 credits, or ETS score 460+). The job runs Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 4:00 pm, 6.75 hours daily, with a pay rate of $16.79 per hour and a focus on classroom

• Experience working with children is desirable.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR TEACHING ASSISANT / HEALTH CARE AIDE

Employee shall report and be directly responsible to the assigned teacher(s) as approved by the administrator. They will be responsible to follow the teacher’s directives and be involved with the students, monitoring progress, data/record keeping, and reinforcing the lessons and/or activities, or as deemed appropriate by position. Must be Highly Qualified per Department of Education in order to apply for this position. Highly qualified as in having an associate’s degree, 60 credit hours or have taken the ETS assessment with a score at 460 or higher.
