Job summary

Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES invites applications for a Teaching Assistant at Adirondack Educational Center in Saranac Lake, NY. You will support teachers, implement parts of daily curricula, and help maintain a positive classroom environment to foster student independence.

Starting September 2026, the base salary is $25,194 with potential for additional compensation based on education. Eligible for retirement system membership, health insurance, sick and personal leave.

Qualifications

• Supports teachers with instructional activities and classroom routines.
• Assists in planed lessons and curriculum delivery under supervision.
• Maintains orderly behavior using established strategies.

• Provide instructional services to students under the general supervision of Teachers
• Plan and implement specified parts of the daily schedule of topics of the curriculum

• Plan and implement remedial instruction when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

NYS Certification as a Teaching Assistant or the ability to become certified

STARTING DATE:

September 2026

SALARY:

$25,194 (2025-26 Base Salary). Consideration for additional salary may be granted based upon education
