Job summary

Metro Therapy, Inc. is hiring a Teaching Assistant in Huntington, NY to support teachers in delivering high-quality educational experiences for children in schools or preschools.

You will work with individual students or groups on daily programs and projects, and provide feedback to teachers to tailor learning experiences. A TA certification and a high school diploma are required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Active Teaching Assistant Certification required.
• At least 1 year of child care, development, or education experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering educational experiences for children.
• Work with individual students or groups on daily programs and projects under the direction of the teacher.
• Provides feedback and information to the teacher about students that will assist with learning experiences.
• Assists in preparing lessons, materials, and instructional information including art supplies, worksheets, educational games, and lesson plan support.
• Helps to maintain an organized classroom environment by managing student behavior, implementing classroom rules, and supporting transitions between activities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is required.
• Must hold a valid and active Teaching Assistant Certification
• At least 1 year of experience in child care, child development, or education is required.
• Bilingual (English/ Spanish) is preferred, but not required.

Posted Salary Range

USD $22.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.
