Job description

The Teaching Assistant assists certified teachers in providing instructional support and educational services to students. The Teaching Assistant works under the direction and supervision of a certified teacher to support student learning, reinforce instructional activities, monitor student progress, and promote a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment.

• Valid New York State Teaching Assistant certification appropriate to the position, as required.
• Ability to work effectively with students and certified instructional staff.
