Qualifications

• Certification required (Must be NYS Certified).
• Ability to get along with children as well as adults.
• Ability to follow oral and written instruction; patience and stamina.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by providing direct instruction to students.
• Work with individual pupils or groups on instructional projects.
• Provide information to teachers to help plan learning experiences.
• Assist in using instructional resources and materials.
• Support instructional programs in foreign languages, arts, crafts, music and similar subjects.
• Provide general supervision and assistance for pupils in and outside classrooms.
