The Job
The Anderson School, our oldest program, located in Andover, MA is looking for a full-time, dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant. The school’s program supports students ages 3-12 with multiple disabilities, moderate to severe developmental delays, and complex medical needs. The school is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm and follows a school calendar, including holidays and closing periods.
The Teaching Assistant is an entry-level position that works closely with the Special Education Teacher in a classroom of approximately 5 students who have multiple disabilities, moderate to severe developmental delays, and complex medical needs. Responsibilities include assisting our special education teachers and school therapists with implementation of IEP goals and objectives, as well as helping with classroom activities and maintaining a clean and neat classroom environment. This position will support the physical and minimal health needs of our students which may include lifting, positioning, seating, feeding, toileting/diapering, and mobility.
