Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a Teaching and Learning Officer to join the Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team. This Grade 6 role focuses on education development, quality assurance, policy and procedure, and improving taught programmes across the Faculty.

You will collaborate with Schools and the wider University to enhance the student experience and ensure policies meet internal and external requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant experience and knowledge of QA, programme enhancement, education development, or teaching and learning policy and practice in a Faculty or comparable setting.
• Experience contributing to the development and implementation of policy or procedure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Experience designing guidance, resources or training for colleagues.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our Faculty Teaching, Learning and Student Experience team as a Teaching and Learning Officer. This Grade 6 role offers an exciting opportunity to support education development, quality assurance, policy and procedure, and taught programme enhancement across the Faculty. You will work with colleagues across Schools, the Faculty and the wider University to improve services and place the student experience at the heart of our work.

You will be responsible for:

• Supporting the development, implementation, evaluation and monitoring of University and Faculty education policies, procedures and strategic priorities.
• Providing clear advice, guidance and training on teaching, learning and quality assurance matters.
• Supporting programme development, approval, enhancement and review, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements.

About You
