Job summary

Norfolk County Council invites applications for a Teaching Adviser - SEND and Inclusion. The role focuses on delivering expert advice, coaching and practical support to schools, settings and partners to strengthen inclusive teaching and curriculum access across Norfolk.

You will translate assessment, statutory expectations and local intelligence into actionable approaches, working across localities with travel across Norfolk and occasional out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• You will be a qualified teacher or hold an equivalent recognised teaching qualification appropriate to the role, with substantial successful teaching experience and a strong record of improving outcomes for children and young people, including those with SEND.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist teaching advice and intervention to improve teaching and curriculum access.
• Support whole-setting improvement by evaluating inclusion, pedagogy and provision.
• Build professional capability through coaching, networks and training.
• Contribute teaching expertise to SISM arrangements and multi-agency collaboration.
• Assure quality and professional standards in advice and practice.
• Model professional leadership and manage lead projects as required.
